Desired Constallation | Performance

Desired Contstallation: The woman, merely dressed in a white fur coat, is sitting on a well, facing the public, holding a burning matchstick in her hand. She takes up an accordion, not to play it but to breathe it with her body movements. The man walks blindfolded on a path of broken glass pieces. A voice sounds within the spectators- the vocal artist accompanies the action with squeezed, undefined sounds. The woman on the well continues breathing the accordion, standing on high heels on top of the well. The man enters a spiral of glasses. He fires them one by one, some break by the heat. He bows inside a well and breathes heavily into ashes until his face remains covered. The woman undresses and puts a string with candles on her body. She lets the visitors enlighten them. The man burns an umbrella. The woman with the flamed candles whirls around herself until all candles are blown out. The vocal artist, the man and the woman meet at a well and enlighten a fire-lantern that rises up in the sky.

Freely inspired by the tale The Little Match Seller by Hans Christian Andersen.
